DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the start of DFM’s 2023 program season at Spring Fling! Enjoy free admission to the museum\, step inside our hessian military hut\, and participate in arts\, crafts\, and lawn games throughout the farmhouse property. \nAt 1PM\, Listen as Juilliard School graduates Alyssa Campbell\, Rebecca Scout Nelson\, Aniella Eddy and John Stajduhar join forces with Silentwoods Collective to blur the lines between fiddle music\, country dances\, and music of the court in their high energy and spirited program titled “Crossing the Pond.” \nFrom 12PM-2PM\, create a mixed media mini-artwork of whimsical animals Uptown (ex.\, bodega cats\, cute raccoons\, funny groundhogs\, etc.). with local Inwood Artist and exhibitor at DFM Cinzia Meneghello. \nFrom 12PM-4PM\, enjoy an art activity with the Dominican Artists Collective – more details coming soon! \nAt 3:30PM\, join Tony y Son De La 104 in the backyard of the farmhouse! Tony y Son De La 104 is a New York Salsa Orchestra. The band plays a variety of styles of Salsa Dura\, Classics and Romantic Salsa. “Our sound is reminiscent of the trombone sound of the popular bands from the 70’s and 80’s with a contemporary edge. We perform our original compositions as well as top Latin standards. The band performs for private and corporate events\, Non-profit organizations\, night clubs and lounges. We perform music for your dancing and listening pleasure.” \nThis event is free\, family friendly\, and open to the public. \n  \n  \n¡Celebra el inicio de la temporada del programa del 2023 en el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse: Flirteo de Primavera! \nDisfruta de la entrada gratuita al museo\, visita nuestra cabaña de arpillera y participa en artes\, manualidades y juegos en los jardines de la granja. \nEscucha cómo los graduados de la Escuela Julliard: Alyssa Campbell\, Rebecca Scout Nelson\, Aniella Eddy y John Stajduhar une fuerzas con Silentwoods Collective para desdibujar las líneas entre la música de violín\, los bailes country y la música colonial en un programa llamado “Cruzando el Estanque”. \nDesde las 12:00 pm. deja que la expositora Cinzia Meneghello y artistas locales de Inwood te guien en como crear una mini obra de arte usando materiales mixtos. El tema de la actividad será cómo crear los diferentes animales que puedes encontrar en el Alto Manhattan: gatos de bodega\, mapaches\, marmotas\, etc. \nDe 12:00 pm a 4:00 pm\, disfrute de una actividad artística con el Colectivo de Artistas Dominicanos. ¡Más detalles próximamente! \n¡A las 3:30 pm únete a Tony y Son De la 104 en el jardín trasero de la granja! “Tony y Son De La 104 es una Orquesta de Salsa de Nueva York. La banda toca una variedad de estilos de Salsa Dura\, Clásica y Salsa Romántica. Nuestras tonadas recuerdan el sonido del trombón de las bandas populares de los años 70 y 80 con un toque contemporáneo. Interpretamos nuestras propias composiciones\, así como las mejores tonadas latinas. La banda se presenta para eventos privados y corporativos\, organizaciones sin fines de lucro\, clubes nocturnos y salones.
