DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception and Community Potluck: Sion Papi by Anne Fernandez\nFriday\, May 9th 2025 \n5 – 7 PM\nFREE!\nWe’re excited to invite you to an opening reception and community potluck celebrating Sion Papi\, the newest stop-motion animation and art exhibition at Dyckman Farmhouse Museum by Dominican filmmaker and multimedia artist Anne Fernandez. \nSion Papi follows the story of Anne who\, after the death of her father\, embarks on a two-month journey to return his ashes to his homeland— a place she hasn’t set foot in for sixteen years. As she navigates this journey in an unfamiliar country\, Anne begins to question who her father truly was during the years he lived there. \nPlease bring your favorite dish to share with other members of the community as you enjoy an outdoor screening of Sion Papi! \nThis program is supported\, in part\, by\, the Honorable Carmen De La Rosa\, New York City Council\, District 10. \n  \nInauguración de la exposición de arte  y comida comunitaria: Sion Papi de Anne Fernandez\nViernes\, 9 de mayo de 2025\n5 – 7 PM\n¡GRATIS!\nTe invitamos a una inauguración de la exposición de arte y comida comunitaria en celebración de Sion Papi\, la nueva animación en stop-motion y exposición artística en el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse\, creada por la cineasta y artista multimedia dominicana Anne Fernandez. \nSion Papi narra la historia de Anne\, quien\, tras la muerte de su padre\, emprende un viaje de dos meses para llevar sus cenizas de regreso a su tierra natal—un lugar que ella no ha pisado en dieciséis años.
