We’ll turn our clocks back to 1776 and hear all about uptown Manhattan’s Revolutionary War story. The sabotaged cannons, the secret submarines, & King George’s “head” on a spike at 181st Street. The bone-jarring battle of Fort Washington, fought with all Manhattan on the line. Uptown tales from heroes, deserters, and soldiers, told in their own words. What Washington said to his trusted generals as the British put the squeeze on Manhattan Island.

We also have an actual find to share; recently discovered neighborhood sketches by British artilleryman Thomas Davies. Hope to see you there.
