Celebrate the opening of DFM’s newest exhibition on May 2nd at 6PM! “Cinzia Meneghello: Uptown Magic” transforms Inwood into a fairy tale. It depicts a luminous, fantasy realm full of whimsical creatures, enchanted forests, and symbolic thresholds. Many of the works in the exhibition were inspired by the natural and cultural richness of Northern Manhattan – from its majestic parks and beautiful wildlife to the Met Cloisters’ and Dyckman Farmhouse Museum’s unique collections. Viewers are invited to see themselves as heroines and magicians, fairies and angels, or simply as curious beings enthralled by the potential and magic within themselves, their community, and the places they inhabit. The opening is free and open to the public.

¡Celebre la inauguración de la exposición más nueva de DFM el 2 de mayo a las 6:00 pm! Cinzia Meneghello: “Magia en el Alto Manhattan” transforma a Inwood en un cuento de hadas; representa un reino lleno de luminosa fantasía, y de criaturas caprichosas, bosques encantados y umbrales simbólicos. Muchas de las obras de la exposición se inspiraron en la riqueza natural y cultural del norte de Manhattan, desde sus majestuosos parques y hermosa vida silvestre a las colecciones únicas de los Claustros del Met y el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse. Se invita a los espectadores a verse a sí mismos como heroínas y magos, hadas y ángeles, o simplemente como seres curiosos cautivados por la potencial magia dentro de ellos mismos, su comunidad y los lugares que habitan.La inauguración es gratuita y abierta al público.
