Fall Festival 2014

Dyckman Farmhouse Fall Festival 2014
Sunday, October 19

Visit Manhattan’s farmhouse for a full day of activities celebrating the fall season!  Download a copy of the full schedule HERE.

Tour the Farmhouse
The farmhouse will be open free all day! Take a self-guided tour and discover what life on a New York farm was like during harvest time.

Dyckman in Miniature
On view inside the farmhouse, a fantastical model of the historic site built by Don Rice out of LEGO® bricks.  Over 3,000 pieces were used to create a fabulous scene of the c.1784 farmhouse and its garden. On view until November 30, 2014.

Apple Pressing
Time for the annual apple pressing!  Watch the press in action, learn more about the Dyckman orchard and enjoy a taste of freshly pressed apple cider.

While supplies last.
Apples generously donated by Samascott Orchards (www.samascott.com).  Visit them on Saturdays at the Inwood Greenmarket!

Backporch Music – Bob Dee
Guitarist/composer Bob Dee will be leading a trio of original and standard jazz plus Latin music. Dee has recorded and performed on TV, radio and the club circuit around the world with such luminaries as Ronald Shannon Jackson, Dave Douglas, Charlie Thomas (The Drifters), legendary improvisation group A Thousand Tiny Fingers and former Law and Order SVU star and comedian Richard Belzer, to name a few. www.bobdee.com

Dyckman Beer Tasting
Enjoy a beer tasting with the Dyckman Beer Company.   Select from different beers inspired by our Washington Heights/Inwood community and infused with flavors from the Dominican Republic.  Founded by Juan J. Camilo in 2012 with the goal of creating premium beers that will be a source of pride for Uptown and its surrounding communities. www.dyckmanbeerco.com
